I have a 2003 Grizzly 660. It's been pretty good to me.but as long as I can recall, when the choke is pulled out it really struggles to turn over. So much so that it actually gets the positive wire extremely hot and smoking. But it turns over fine when the choke is not being used. I'm thinking it's the starter or possibly the solenoid /starter fuse box. Which I have new just sitting on the shelf in the barn. Could this be one of the reasons? The battery itself was just replacing the spring, and like I said it's as long as I can remember it's done this. I don't know if this is even worth mentioning, but the pull cord on it is extremely difficult to pull out. But luckily I've never needed to use it so I don't worry about it. Maybe she needs a valve adjustment? I know when I got it at just been rebuilt completely and that was 8 years ago
