O.K. - Went to the hospital last night to see Edwin. he is doing very well for a young
man who has gone through (and going through) what he has to deal with.

Leg looks good, and Edwin can wiggle his toes - Great sign.
He cant sit up yet because they removed muscle from his abdomin to use a muscle tissue
to reconstruct his leg, but he is working on getting somewhat upright real soon so I wouldn't
put it past him doing sit up in a couple of weeks..... lol

I meet and spoke with Edwin's Mom Nubia; and she is very thankful for all the love and support
everyone has shown her & her son. I took her off the the side and handed her a card that my wife
made and she said (aparently thinking it was a get well soon card). About 5 minutes later she
was crying and came over and hugged me - at which point I explained to her that this was a combined
effort between my family and my brothers on the GR Forum. She has no idea what an ATV forum is and
Edwin had to explain to her the concept.
Anyway - First round of money has been given to the mom to take care of bills in the short term, and
Edwin's friends are continuing the effort with two more scheduled benefits, a charity auction and a raffle
to raise more money for the family.
Anyone else that would like to donate - it would be greatly appreciated, and the family can use the money.
To those who have already given - Thank you again!!!!

Well I know I'm new but I have pulled people from accidents and know first hand the agony that they go through. I will donate but it will have to wait till next pay. I sencerly hope this young man pulls through with a full recovery. If he can move his toes thats a truely great sign for recovery. I will certainly keep him and his family in our prayers.

Modfather you are a true hero for helping this young man out. Most people would just pass him by like it was yesterdays news.

I'm no hero, but Thank you for saying so.
It's just when i look at how many of today's kids are raised; there are many
(not all) but many who think of nothing but themselves.
this is a case of a kid who is man enough to support his Mom at a time in his life where
girls, booze & drugs are all around.

Edwin is the hero, not me.................
