Default Maine ATV Ride 7/24 (Lots of Pics)

Went for a ride on Saturday 7/24 with a great group of folks, from several ATV clubs. The first ride was in Fairfield/Oakland area. Found some awesome mud, there was quite a variety to the trails, from tight woods trails, to open trails down the powerlines. The club has done a great job signing and improving their trails. The second ride was a dusk/night ride. It took place in and around Troy. It too was a great ride. Went on a bunch of woods roads, some tight woods trails with rocks and stumps, a pretty good variety. With the slight rain it really kept the dust down. I want to go explore the Fairfield trails again, there were several other side trails and ways to go that could make a totally different ride. All in all a great day/night of riding.

Grizz450, Great pictures man. Looks like some fun trails. I have to give a big thumbs up to the ATV club for the trail signage. Do you belong to the Club?

The tunnel was interesting, going up to it looks like you won't fit, but really there was plenty of room, just had to duck. I was told at one time the culvert was used to move cattle under the road.

I have not yet joined a club, but after this ride I knew I should. Probably going to send in a membership to one the club I went there with. The club that maintains the trail was hosting the ride to show the other club, the one I went there with. There ended up being only two folks from that club and me. Those signs clubs get from the state, so there pretty universal here as atv trail signs, when you see them you know its ok for you to be there. Sometimes trails follow snowmobile trails, and sometimes not.

The first pic my atv is on the left. Felt really good to finally get out and do some serious riding. I'm not stopping now, expect more pictures from points all over Maine! Oh and heres the atv after the ride:
