Gorillas or Outlaws?
Hey guys,
I have recently purchased a Renegade 500. I know i know its not a grizz but i can use the tires on a grizzly rim... Anyway i need to know what tire is better. they both have the same tread design and the both seem to be favorites. Im looking to get 27 inch tires.
Thanks

What type mud do you ride in. They are booth great but each does better in some cases. Silverbacks are great when you got a bottom for them to grab as they dig more. Outlaws are more of a paddle tire that doesn't dig as bad. For myself I'd like try outlaw 2's most if I go that aggressive. I ride in swamp sometimes that has no bottom.

I've risen the 29.5's on a friends quad and it was pretty nice. I've heard the outlaws depending on size and a little easier on hard pack than the monkeybacks from friends

Yea the backs will ride bit rougher on the trails between the mud holes. I always try talk guys in my area that run mud tires more and most like the backs with when they have a solid bottom better than laws. I think I want get outlaws cause the smoother ride and that when I'm around the farm I can have more bottomless mud. I would try find out what guys like run in your area if you can. That's about the best info I can give you. Good luck on your choice, either way I'm sure you'll be happier than stock.

Hey guess for the input i think im going with the gorillas because i can get them with wheels already installed in a package. Also i believe with the 27 inch the gorillas have a taller lug and bigger/ more side lugs. Like i said before the holes in my area change. The ones i have been in arent serious because i have stock bikes but sometimes its deep nasty muck and somtimes its just water with an okay bottom...

The only problem with the silverbacks is they dig too good. They will get you stuck worse then the outlaws. You also have to watch the thumb control with the backs.. they seem to break axles faster then the outlaws.
However, both are good tires. Just have to know how to use them so that you can enjoy them.
