Default What hauls your Grizz's? Show us your trailer puller

Amazingly, there was no thread for "what you use to haul your Grizzly" so...now there is.

Since I started this...guess I'll start it

The wife and I (OK, mostly I) just purchased a new-to-us Lincoln MKX and spent an inordinate amount of time (and bucks) getting it properly setup for towing. The "towing package" if ordered from the factory, is less than $500 but, if you add it after the fact, it climbs a tad (or two). Looooooooooong (painful) story short, we pommeled the dealer into submission and finally got the larger radiator and engine oil cooler installed in our MKX. A "quick" trip to the local U-Haul place for the actual hitch and wiring, and we set. OK, that's the seriously condensed Reader's Digest version...but it is done.

For those who are asking "your towing your grizzlies with a Lincoln?", yes, we are towing in style...and comfort, I might add! This baby has SYNC, backup monitor, adaptive headlights, panoramic sunroof (very cool), power everything including rear lift-gate, dual-zone climate control, and...ready for this...butt coolers. That's right; not just heated seats, but cooled seats as well!

Didn'y have a chance to get some real pics before taking off for Moab, but here's some proverbial crappy phone pics.

Here's "the X" with the trailer and Grizz's. Tracy was tired, frustrated (long day), and generraly in "one of those moods", so try to ignore her pleasant smile

BTW, it's rated for 3500 lbs with the added radiator and oil cooler, so I'm well within the limits and not risking damage to the new baby.

yes, thats 4, count'em 4, quads on a shortbed chevy and a 6'x8' (former pop-up camper) trailer!

not how i normally tow, but we were only going about 10 miles.
i do normally use the same truck and trailer, but usually i have one Grizz on the truck and one on the trailer. i'm in the process of building an 18' trailer so i can haul all of the quads at once.
the truck is an '02 Chevy Silverado with the 5.3L and 4L60E. it does have factory trailering and such when i use it to pull the camper i use a weight distribution set-up.

i just bought the wife a 2500 Yukon XL with the 6.0L and 4L80E for pulling the camper. that thing is loaded, power everything, in dash navigation, sunroof, leather, XM, Onstar, Rear Seat Entertainment, etc, etc.

Here is mine. An 03' ford f250 with the 7.3l diesel and my 24' enclosed trailer. When I'm just meeting up with someone to ride I pit the griz in the bed but on trips we load the trailer up with 6 quads and sometimes an enduro bike plus all our gear.

Here is an older pic with only 5 in there and before I finished the interior.
