Default Hot Key Wire

Hello all I finally got my Superwinch T25 installed and running last night and the only thing left is to wire the rocker switch to the keyed hot wire but there are three which one do I use? There is a red, brown and striped brown which is the keyed hot wire? I have a 2011 Grizzly 550 TIA!!!!!

I dont have a direct answer other than "break out the test light"... my guess would be the red wire is "power-in", so its probably one of the other two

I hooked mine up to the wire that powers the cig. Lighter. I just used a clampon crimp and hooked the winch wire into it. If you want i could send you a picture

If so Red should be hot.

No I have the switch straight to the battery right now which means whether the key is on or off if you touch the switch it will move the winch and I want to make it so only when the key is on it will work.

As Sas said break out the test light. I used the hot to the aux plug when I wired mine. You will find it on the left side under the battery hood. Just tap the red wire from the rocker switch to it and you are set.
