Front Axle removal

Hey everybody, This is my first post. I have a 2003 660 that I am replacing some oil seals on due to leaks. The ones that were leaking were the rear seal where the driveshaft comes off the motor and where the front driveshaft goes into the front diff. I got the rear driveshaft all squared away to this thread.

I started working on the leak for the driveshaft. I was going to replace the oil seal where the axle comes out of the diff while i was in there but i can't get the right axle out of the diff for the life of me. I have tried yanking the heck out of it and a small pry bar and chipped the diff housing. So i don't want to try prying it anymore. Do you have any tips to get the axle out of the front diff. I sprayed some penetrating oil in there to try and loosen it up. Do you have any tips to get it out. The first pic is of where the front diff is leaking. the second is the axle i can't get out.
