Default Front bearings

So not looking forward to changing both front bearings today on mu 05 grizz. It's gonna be hard without a press or vise.

Dont need a press. Very simple to do. Put the new bearings in the freezer. This will help with the install.

Having a vice will make it easier. Just tap out the old ones. If you need to, use a torch to heat them up to make it easier to tap out.

Of coarse I havn't tried some of the tricks that have ben told, but now ijust take my hubs to a local machine shop, and for $20 bucks have the old ones out and the new ones in....

Just for clarification... heat the KNUCKLES with a torch, not the bearings themselves.

Hot knuckles, cold bearings, easy peasy.

thx guys, i was able to complete both bearings in about 4 hrs with a couple breaks lol. it actually wasnt as hard as i thought it would be. i left the bearings in the freezer over night, i heated up the spindle, and they practically fell in to place. the walkthrough in another thread helped out a lot. the key to beating out the old bearing was using a 36mm socket. the sears by my hosue didnt sell the socket seperate so i bought a kit that has size 27-36 for 50 bux. was kind of worth is since the nut on the hub is a size 27. thx for all the help

A trailer ball works well driving out the old bearing as well
