Default Grizzly is on the Road to Recovery!!

Well Guys after being out of the game for going on 8 months now, I am finally getting the Grizzly back in shape! Thanks to the ones who have checked on me over the past months. It's great to know that even though we don't know each other personally, we are still a hue Grizzly family on here!! I've been going through some bad personal problems, but be to God that He has seen me through this tough time.

Anyways, I just wanted to share some pics with yall of my starting recovery!!

Back last July I went to put new rear bearing on. BUT I screwed up and on one side I stripped the axle nut to where the socket wouldn't grip it. I got in too big of a hurry and didn't hammer out the indention far enough.
Got to the other side, and the threads stripped, so the nut just sat there and spun on the axle and didn't come off. I was at my house and barely had any tools to work with, plus I was just not in the mood to deal with it because of the stress I was under.
So the grizzly just sat at my house......
Well.....
Here is the Grizzly on the back of the truck for the 1st time since last MAY!!

So the Axle nut that was stripped, I went ahead and took a grinder and flattened 2 sides so I could get a pipe wrench on it and turn. FINALLY got it off!! This is the side where I put the Rhino axle on last year. I called up the guys at SuperATV and told them what happened.... Next thing I know I have a new axle nut on the way!!! BIG THANKS to SuperATV!!

Got to the other side. I tried to get a wedge in behind the nut and spin it off, but no luck. I got the rest of it un-done and jerked the axle out! Last resort... Just grind the nut off!!

... Don't worry... I know by grinidn the nut off means cutting into the axle itself. But no worries....

Had a new Rhino axle to replace it with anyways!!!

Next I gonna get the bearing pressed in.
I'm also waiting for all new bushing parts to arrive in the mail from Cheapcycleparts.com. Gonna replaceall the bushing parts on the hubs as well.

Next change all the fliuds, change front brakes if they need them, and wait on my Grizzlyriders.Com stickers to come in and add them!!

Then HOPEFULLY I will be back on track!!!

I sold my Dirt Commanders to KEETER last year, so now I in need of a 2nd set of tires. Like before, I had the Dirt Commanders for riding locally around my house, 1 to save wear on my big tires, and 2 these 28s are overkill around here!!
Going later today to look at 2 used sets for sale:
26 MSTs on stock Rhino rims. Claims only 50 miles on them. Wants $300
OR
26 Bighorns on aftermarket rims. Claims around 100 miels on them. Wants $350.

IF everything goes well and I get the Grizz fixed with little more money involved them I may get one of these. I had MSTs on my Kodiak and LOVED them! Had 2000 miels on them, still had half tread left, and ZERO flats.
But I know how Bighorns are. My brother has them and he loves them, as well as many people on here too!!

Well guys I will keep yal updated on my recovery!!

Thanks for being a great group of Grizzly guys!!!

Just changed out a rear axle recently and know all too well how easy it is to mess up getting the nut off. I couldn't tap the indent back out so I took the dremel to it lol, needless to say I needed a new nut but had one on the shelf I grabbed from Gunny a while back. Looking forward to seeing vids of midnight magic back in action.
