Okay Guys, NJ09Grizz, Jeep98 and myself have talked about putting a group ride together for our members so we can get a chance to meet and do what we like best = Ride. We have a few possible dates; June 12th & 13th or June 26th & 27th. What we would like to do is travel to our decided trail and ride Saturday then check into whatever hotel or campsite (depending on where we decide) grab some dinner and then head out for a little night ride. Sleep, wake up and do a little Sunday ride leaving enough time for everyone to travel home at a reasonable hour. To be able to do this we would need to stay within a 4 hour travel radius from NJ and possibly NYS.

We discussed Reading anthracite but I am not sure if it would be a good idea due to the fact that many members don’t have the permit and I don’t know if they would be able to obtain them easily coming from further distances. Also I would like to leave lost trails off the list for the time being. Here are a few links to a couple of websites for different Atv parks and one for a general listing of PA Riding areas.
So what’s everyone’s thoughts on the dates and the info provided? I know a lot of our PA members have probably rode most of these trails and we would like your input on this or other possible trails not listed. Here’s hoping we will all meet out on the trails soon. Thanks, Butch

NJ residents need to either download the registration application here http://www.ssrt.org/ssrt_appl1_10.pdf
atatch a copy of your NJ registration card and proof of insurance along with payment and submit it to them as per instructions on form and you will receive your packet within 10 days, or you can stop the morning of and file for permit at one of the local buisiness that offer the applications. A list of the local merchants can be viewed here SSRT Membership Renewal Page
You need to carry both your NJ registration and insurance with you the day of the ride.

SSRT is done and was alot of fun, whoever couldn't attend you missed out on a beautiful day on the trails. I will keep updating this original post for the 2nd ride which is Rock Run so keep checking back for updates and please begin posting any info or ?s you have about this Ride in this thread.

They are also having the till midnight riding on Friday the 16th if anyone can make it out early.

Rock Run was tons of fun. If anyone ever gets to ride this place I definitely suggest riding all the black trails and the Jeep trails. The campsites are all pretty level and for $10 a night for upto 6 people it's a good bargain. You can view the pics and videos from the ride in the following thread. Rock_Run_Pics_And_Videos

sounds like a great idea! I'm in.
the weekend of June 26th is the Elk county Search and Rescue Dice Run (which i will definitely be going to) which is an AWESOME ride. the down fall would be that there is nearly no lodging except for camping in the area.
Rock Run is only about 1/2 hour away from me, but i haven't been there.
you can also check out the Pa social group, i posted a ton of websites and event dates there today.

Yeah Rock run is having a race on 26th and 27th so no riding there that weekend. Something I just saw there is that they are having a ride till midnight in July on the 16th (friday) and the 17th (saturday) That might be worth considering also. Hammer I will check your social group page, Thanks.

I may be good for the June 12th and 13th dates the 26th is my nieces graduation party and dont think I can make it that weekend of all the weekend they could have picked, elkland sar ride was awesome like Hammer said, had a blast! Keep us posted!
